What PTA is advocating for

Washington State PTA’s priorities are chosen by members. In October 2026, delegates from local PTAs across Washington voted on these Top 5 for 2026-2028. Our Advocacy Chair attended with support from Arrowhead PTA.

  • Addressing Support for Students with Disabilities, Inclusionary Practices, and Funding for Special Education Services
  • Addressing the Student Mental Health Crisis
  • Ensuring Literacy & Math Proficiency for All Students
  • Keep Students Safer from Gun Violence
  • Strategic Investments to Improve Student Outcomes

WSPTA also supports:

  • Restoring Focus with Personal Electronic Devices Off and Away for the Day
  • Empower Communities to Build Schools Where Students Thrive
  • Fund Climate-Ready Schools: Clean Air, Heat-Safe

Speak up locally

The Northshore School Board decides our district’s budget, policies, programs, and school boundaries. Meetings are open to the public and include time for public comment.
