Lego Club

For the first time, PTA is sponsoring an afterschool lego club this Winter.  Play-Well TEKnologies will be coming to Arrowhead and offering 2 different classes divided by age group.  Both classes will be held on Mondays after the holiday break.  (more specific date/location/prices to come shortly).

For K-2: Pre-Engineering

Our Pre-Engineering class is primarily focused on BUILDING techniques. Students will build cities, bridges, and motorized cars/planes and explore the many creative possibilities of engineering with the LEGO® system. With access to over 100,000 pieces of LEGO, your child will have the opportunity to build what they have only dreamed of with the support of an experienced Play-Well Engineering instructor to guide them.

For 3-6: Engineering FUNdamentals

Students take on real-life engineering challenges that explore concepts in physics, architecture, mechanical and structural engineering with over 100,000 pieces of LEGO® material. From racecars to Battletracks, this is a hands-on and minds-on camp suitable for LEGO novices to "maniacs." Designed by engineers, the curriculum challenges both new and returning students to reach the next level of engineering comprehension, all while having fun.

The goal of the class:

  • Develop and enhance students' problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Expose children to concepts and vocabulary of:
