Arrowhead Elementary is often referred to as a small school with a big heart.  Our PTA promotes the welfare of all students by providing staff support, fostering teacher, parent, and community cooperation, and enriching student learning.  Some of the amazing programs our PTA has funded include purchasing African drums for the music department, providing over $7000 in classroom funds annually, and making sure those that need scholarships have them.  PTA is the largest and oldest child advocacy organization in the country.  Our voice can be heard locally, regionally, and nationally supporting parent involvement and working on behalf of all children and families.  We hope all families take pride in our kids and community and show their support through their PTA membership to help make our voice even stronger.

Save your favorite club!

Fill out a survey now!

We are in the process of evaluating which clubs will be offered next year, and we need to hear from you!  Please fill out a short (4 question) survey to share your child’s experience in a club(s) this year.  You can find the survey at the link below, or by clicking “feedback page” at the bottom left of the PTA website home page.  Please provide your feedback no later than May 17th(scheduling with the school happens in late May).

As many of you know, there will not be any open classrooms at Arrowhead next year.  There may be fewer clubs offered next year than have been offered in the past.  The clubs offered next year will depend on a variety of factors, including available space, instructor availability, and community interest.  Thank you for your input!

Hawk Walk Time!

Friday, June 7

Hawk Walk is Arrowhead PTA's spring fundraising event! Kids and Staff raise much needed funds by walking or running laps around the track to the sound of their favorite tunes. Students collect sponsorships in support of their efforts in the form of donations and are entered into drawings for fabulous prizes donated by local businesses based on the level of donations collected. All students receive a participation prize.
Envelopes come home this FRIDAY!!

Volunteers are needed. Please come join the fun and help out with the Hawk Walk!  We need several  volunteers from each grade level to help make this a fun, smooth event! Check out the Hawk Walk page for more information.

Carnival Returns!

Friday, June 14th

Thanks to some great leads we have managed to secure a few items and funding for our upcoming school carnival. Arrowhead PTA is hoping to turn the carnival into a very successful fundraiser for our school. This is our first year trying, so breaking even would be great. Raising needed funds would be fabulous! But we still need your help! If you can help, know of, or work at a company that might want to help, please send your leads to Julie Krause Gorom for follow up at krausejulie@hotmail.com or call her at 206 799 0001. Julie will follow up with companies explaining recognition options available to companies for their generosity.

  1. Donation of a few larger items such as sponsorship of carnival games would be wonderful such as a free throw hoop toss or baseball slugger even a cotton candy machine. Companies could sponsor a particular game and gain some unique exposure by having a table to promote their business.
  2. Companies willing to donate individually packaged snack items such as pretzels & chips or cookies.

Julie will follow up with companies explaining recognition options available to companies for their generosity.

Top 4 reasons to check out a PTA Meeting

1. It is "Date Night" complete with childcare!

2. Hear about what's happening . . .. beyond what kids tell you (e.g. "I did nothing today").

3. Learn key event dates or meet more people to remind you of these dates.

4. Meet parents of children that are part of your child's community and learn their REAL names (instead of "Emilyn's mom").

Still need your PTA membership?

Several ways to sign up

1.  Visit the Membership page and use Pay Pal to pay for your membership.

2.  Send in a check with the membership sign-up form with your child to school.
